Always use the full figure excluding decimals (cents) unless the cents are stated. Use a comma as a separator where applicable.
Dollar amounts over “one million dollars” should be transcribed as “$1 million”. If the speaker does not say “dollar,” do not use the dollar sign ($).
If the speaker mentions “bucks” please type the dollar sign. E.g:
A hundred bucks —> $100.
