Quick Fix for Incorrect Speaker Labels

Problem

You have mistakenly switched the speaker labels, i.e. used M for a respondent and R for a Moderator.

Solution

  1. Highlight and copy the speaker label,  to avoid replacing instances where the label might occur as a word in the transcript. (E.g. I spoke to the interviewer yesterday.)

  2. Go to Advance Find & Replace
    1. Select "Match Case"
  3. Replace the first speaker label with a random letter (Interviewer: > X:)
  4. Replace the second speaker label with the first speaker label (Interviewee: > Interviewer:)
  5. Replace the first speaker label, now "X:", with the second speaker label (X: > Interviewee:)
  6. Scan the document to make sure no labels were missed
